About Us
Peter Relyea, the owner of Distinctive Cabinetry, began his professional woodworking career in the mid 70s. He started with custom woodworking and has added restoration work to his portfolio in the last 10 years. Pete specializes in detailed, precise work ranging from designing and creating custom Victorian Era style bedroom sets to mid-century modern workspaces, and much more. His restoration work has included everything from historic windows and doors, to a Victorian Era pool table.
Harry Judge, our client service liaison, began his professional woodworking career in 1981. Over the past 15 years he has transitioned to a client-focused role. Pete and Harry have had a close working relationship as partners and collaborators for over forty years.
Their collective works have received national recognition, been published in numerous periodicals, and are on display at The Museum of Modern Art. A more detailed history and portfolio are available upon request.
